How does it work?
The majority of the Baby Sitting work comes from families, and the bookings will be in their homes, but we do also get bookings for hotels, weddings and one off family occasions at different venues.Families who are looking for baby sitters register with us and make all their bookings through us - so we know all about them and their requirements. Many have been registered with us for several years and they will normally request the same baby sitter each time.
The families pay you the hourly rate at the end of the booking - we don’t take any commission back from you - and we can advise you on typical rates (normally £6-8 per hour) depending on your age/experience, numbers of children involved etc.
The most popular night for bookings tends to be Friday and Saturday nights but we do also receive a large number of mid week bookings.
Families register with us from all over Manchester, Stockport & Cheshire but we will always offer you bookings that are closest to where you live.
The amount of notice that we can give you for bookings does depend on how much notice we get! - it is always helpful if you can let us know your availability in advance but there is no obligation to do any booking we may contact you about.
In some cases the family may want to meet a new baby sitter prior to the booking and we will arrange this wherever possible.
We will give you all the information and contact details for each booking - and we will ask that you call the family in advance of the booking to introduce yourself. Make sure you know where you are going, check directions if you need to, and confirm the time that you are needed. Before the parents go out always make sure you have been given contact numbers and expected time due back.
If you have any queries just call us.
